Some of our key people:
Simon Carroll
Simon is the founder, CEO and Director of Health Information Australia Pty Ltd, Pharmacy Hive’s parent company.
Simon spent many years as a practising community pharmacist, was joint owner of a substantial ACT-based pharmacy group, and has vast experience working with a range of other pharmacy and healthcare organisations, including The Pharmacy Guild, PSA, and the Capital Chemist Group. His extensive knowledge and understanding of the pharmacy industry put him in the perfect position to conceptualise and lead the development of Health Information Australia and later, Pharmacy Hive.
Dr Andrew Brown
Andrew is Chief Pharmacist with Pharmacy Hive, providing high level support and advice to the Pharmacy Hive team and subscribers.
He has an extensive background initially in community pharmacy management, and later in overseeing and supporting the co-creation and implementation of pharmaceutical systems, health supply chains and health workforce development strategies at a global level with organisations such as Unicef and the W.H.O. Andrew is also a sessional academic for the University of Canberra. One of his key strengths is his ability and experience in creating and implementing organisational tools to help formulate sound strategic plans, assess organisational needs, and improve capacity and efficiencies.
Rhyan Stanley
Rhyan is Key Account Manager with Pharmacy Hive. He acts as the main liaison between Pharmacy Hive and major pharmacy groups, as well as being a key point of contact for subscriber pharmacist and pharmacy staff for QSPP and compliance queries and support.
He has over 15 years experience across community pharmacy leadership, health policy work with the PSA, and health consulting. His wide knowledge and experience working at the intersection of what good policy says and what actually happens on the pharmacy floor, puts him in an ideal position to guide pharmacists and pharmacies through the transition from the retail-compliance model of the old QCPP system, to effective practice as primary healthcare providers under the QSPP program.
Samantha Junor
Samantha is Pharmacy Hive’s Operations Manager, overseeing the development and maintenance of the platform, ensuring we deliver a technically excellent experience to our subscribers. She is also our technical trouble-shooter and advisor for subscribers.
Sam ‘s cross-functional training and experience in PR, the pharmacy industry, and IT makes her a versatile and multi-faceted team member, able to work across both back-end and subscriber-facing aspects of the organisation. Sam oversees our platform development and maintenance, including the building of subscriber sites, forms, and automations, with the overall aim of improving platform and subscriber workflows and usability wherever possible.
Alok Kumar Yadav
Alok is Pharmacy Hive’s Platform Support Technician, maintaining and optimising the technology ecosystem that underpins the delivery of high-quality support services to our subscribers.
As a versatile IT support and systems specialist with strong experience across application support, system administration, networking , SQL, cloud technologies, and technical troubleshooting, and skilled in enterprise applications, configuring system integrations, and performing software testing, Alok provides technical advice and assistance to the Operations Manager and other members of the Pharmacy Hive team.
John Carroll
John is Pharmacy Hive’s Business Manager, overseeing the governance, marketing, communications, and administrative management of the organisation.
His is a former CEO and Managing Director with an extensive background in brand marketing, advertising, people development and general management. Also a leadership coach, consultant, trainer, speaker and writer, John uses his range of skills across multiple aspects of Pharmacy Hive’s business.
