Chapter 1: Clinical Overview
Diarrhoea is passing 3 or more liquid stools (poos) in one day, or more frequently than normal. So, there is an increase in wateriness and frequency of bowel motions.
Most diarrhoea is mild and resolves in a couple of days, but it can be a severe condition requiring hospitalisation.
